If there's one thing I was looking forward to this October, aside from Halloween, it was the Pickwick Vintage Show. This was my first time attending and it certainly did not disappoint. If you're based in Los Angeles and love vintage fashion this show is a must.
Why is it a must? The vintage here isn't what you'll find at your local vintage store. Held at Pickwick Gardens in Burbank, it boasts an entire banquet hall of some of the finest vintage clothing and accessories out there. From designer labels to museum quality historic pieces, the vendors bring out their best. Aisle upon aisle of expertly curated collections. Clothing, shoes, hats, scarves, bags, glasses, jewelry, some of the vendors even had fabrics, trimmings, and findings. You really won't see this stuff elsewhere. And while the prices reflect this, there are still bargains to be had. I picked up a Nicole Miller shirtdress for $70, a black and white bandana for $2, and my mom scored a great deal on some Georgian jewelry from the lovely Laurel Sterns of Pass It On LTD.
Whether you're looking for an investment piece or just some inspiration, you're sure to find it here.
Do you ever go to shows like this? Have any favorites?
