If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen a few posts from Stylecon this past weekend. As a newbie blogger I've been looking for opportunities to learn more about blogging and to get involved in the blogging community. Stylecon was offering 50% off admission for Halloween so I grabbed a ticket and made the trek from LA down to Orange County.
There were several panels of speakers throughout the day, a Topshop personal shopping area, free hair and makeup, free snacks, Instagram contests, and vendors. I had a great time, picking up some interesting tips as well as a giant tote of freebies. On the walk back to my car I spotted this structure and couldn't resist getting some shots of my outfit. I did just get a free hair and makeup touchup after all.
Here I'm wearing the vintage Nicole Miller shirtdress I picked up at the Pickwick Vintage Show. I paired it with a western inspired belt from Council Thrift and Jeffrey Campbell boots. The multi strand necklace was something I acquired while helping my Grandma clean out her closet, and the watch is a Versace piece I've had for years. I love how versatile this dress is. Even though it's vintage, it feels very clean and modern. It can be styled casually with a cropped moto jacket or a colorful belt and matching sandals. Just as easily, it can be dressed up for the workplace. I'd try it with a sleek belt and a pair of pumps.
